Thing is they are allowed to do it, you kind of agree to it when you press accept on their agreement thingy. It does make sense tho, say you offend a paying customer and he leaves and that leads them to loose moneys and if you do it on forums/chat box chances are you can offend more then one person so they are quick to hand out bans. Worst case scenario they loose one customer, best case they save more then one.

They are a big company means they don't really need to worry about banning people that's why they don't really bother with support much cause loss of one guy doesn't bother them much or at all lol.

That logic is ridiculous. Anybody who leaves cause a player swore isn't living in the real world. Some people need to seriously harden up right now. I hope I never meet somebody in RL who is THAT delicate. Absolute princess.

To be honest some people don't realise the value of money, and I hope there aren't people as wussy as you describe in existance. If there are, they must be in their parents basement with a generous allowance.

If you support aeriagames and these other companies who are basically corrupt as hell, then you probably have no idea what you're talking about.
watch the video i linked already and try learn something. (NOT the video in the OP)

yeah they are pretty quick to ban. i think swearing should result in maybe a warning because its really not hurting anymore. maybe you were mad or such.

but either way you can't do anything about it. they just bought out ijji and i can only see them expanding.

Would a company even know if people WERE declining their ToS and rules (aka Not registering and they were losing business)??

From now on though, I'm going to make sure i legally own the games I buy, or at least make sure I have rights.

Or who knows, I might DL a game for the lolz.

LIES!!! lol jk

i don't play aeria games often becuase they are just boring. I've had no problem with them either.(I dont pay anything either. :P)
And i agree, just don't spend any money into a f2p mmo, unless you have played it for some time and believe the publishers are good.
If you want to let out your inner rage, play S4 League or APB.
Atleast in APB nothing is censored and in both you wont b banned(unless it gets excessive)
Don't quit online games entirely.

That logic is how it works lol, that was just one example of it, didn't you see enough examples in that video you posted (like people banned just cause they stash gold, because they MIGHT be gold sellers). Big companies that don't really care if they loose some people are very quick to hand out bans, even if you didn't do anything they just thought you did or will.

Is it morally wrong? Maybe but it's legally allowed and financially it's probably better as well, i mean these game companies make millions so they clearly know what they are doing.

Also i don't support them nor do i hate them or anything i just understand that they are a business, they are in it for moneys, they do what they have to do to make most moneys. I don't know why you got the idea that i support them from my post, i was just saying that what they do makes sense.

"Basically no, I don't think they earn money by banning customers" - Me, 2012

Does aeria know what they are doing?

God no.
They have refined the art of killing good games and banning good players. Notorious for poor management and killing good games especially. (I'm mega-skilled, don't know how they even managed to press that "ban" button on my account)

Then why are they a successful business?

Well it's just like stated in the video, the fact that gamers just take it light-heartedly is definately a problem. Even your attitude now, that's the problem.
*shrug* "She'll be right", (Aussie saying).
Well honestly no, she's not right.
When companies do the wrong thing, gamers are TOO FORGIVING. It's sooooo true.
Sometimes it's hard when the companies just shoves everything under the rug though. They'll remove that post they don't want anyone to know about , hide the truth and even ban anyone trying to say the truth.
