SyFy Action MMO

World of Darkness

CCP Games, the powerhouse behind EVE online, are currently developing this new 3D MMORPG, based in the World of Darkness universe.

The MMO is based on the pen-and-paper roleplay games from White Wolf (a company that joined forces with CCP, back in November 2006). WOD will mainly revolve around the Vampire: the Masquerade franchise and judging by the early artwork CCP released, the game will have a modern day setting.

Next to Vampire: the Masquerade, there are several other role-play franchises that World of Darkness can tap into (Werewolf: The Forsaken, Mage: The Awakening, Hunter: The Vigil, amongst them). This leaves a lot of lore left for eventual expansion of the game.

Like EVE online, this game will revolve heavily around player politics and social interaction. Vampire clans, infiltrating other Vampire clans? Sounds like a plan!

The Old Republic, well if your going to mention P2P games on a Free site at least pick one thats going to be successful, I doubt the gamers on this site are looking for a WOW clone in space.

I mean seriously the forums over their are so obviously biased towards one playstyle they ban every one but members of raiding guilds from posting.If you dont agree with their talking points you get banned, Currently they are pushing the point that Crafting should be a small side aspect of the game, disagreement results in a ban.Which begs the question why have a Forum in the first place.

But it is being published by EA games, so you have to expect a certain level of suck.
