Forum Rules

Please abide by the following extremely reasonable rules if you intend to post in the forums.

No Spam / Advertising:
Advertising of any commercial product or service on these forums is not permitted. Chain letters and pyramid schemes are similarly prohibited. Users who register on the forums for the sole purpose of advertising their own website will be banned. Stuffing a signature with numerous links to your own website or a spam site is also prohibited.

Flaming:
Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Use common sense while posting. You don't have to love all your fellow forum-buddies, but don't start a flame war with them either.
Common sense should be used as to what identifies as Flaming if you're unsure. There's a difference between an friendly suggestion and flaming.
If you are unsure, use the report button and an Moderator or Admin will decide.

Offensive Content:
Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene, racist, or otherwise overly discriminatory is not permitted on these forums. This includes user pictures. Use common sense. We want to show this website to our mums.

Inappropriate Language:
Swear words, slang words, innuendos and all things alike commonly deemed as inappropriate are not allowed.

Illegal Content:
Providing or asking for information on how to illegally obtain or provide software or music is forbidden.
Private Servers are allowed to be mentioned, but they may not be named, linked or discussed.
The discussion of IP Bypasses for games and such is not allowed.

Cross-posting:
Posting a thread in more than one forum is annoying and thus not allowed. Just post it once in the correct place.

Posting Tags:
Don't make your whole posts in the largest size tag availiable, or with italics, bold, underlines, etc. It can be hard for users to see and is widely viewn as generally annoying.
Color tags may be used in your post, but please pick a color that people have no trouble reading.

Copyright and ownership:
Comments & forum messages are owned by the poster.

Ban Evasion:
If your account is suspensed or banned, posting on another account will most likely have both accounts permanently banned. Suspensions and Bans are not given for you to continue posting.

English-Only Messages:
Not everyone can read foreign languages such as German, Dutch, Japanese, etc. Language translators aren't always reliable to translate a foreign language, as such users have tried to ignore other rules by posting in foreign languages in the past.
English-Only applies to the forum, chat box and visitor messages, much like every other rule.

Don't be a pain in the ass:
Or we'll add some really embarrassing pictures to your profile and email all your friends.

No, really…
Any penalties for the above rules are at the moderation team's discretion.
People have been banned(username/IP range) from the site in the past for causing trouble in the forums.

#1 Though these rules may not cover everything, we trust each poster will use common sense in following any additional 'regular rules'.
#2 If you feel you were warned or infracted unjustly, message a member of the forum staff to explain why and it will be mentioned and discussed depending on its severity.
#3 Some rules not seen here may still exist, these are deemed 'Hidden rules' which is covered in note #1; This is either because they were forgotten to be listed, or they are still under discussion.
