info about cash shops

I love the first looks and the full reviews. I usually watch the first look videos to get a basic idea of how the game looks and plays, then I go and read the full review to get more detailed info.

What I really want though, that is very seldom there, is for the full reviews to briefly discuss the cash shop if a game has one. I want to know just how badly disadvantaged someone is who does not use the cash shop. I know of a few games that once you reach a certain level, if you don't use the cash shop items you might as well just quite....while other games you can play right until end game and never have to buy from cash shop.

Even a single line at an end of review, from 1 to 10.

Cash shop disadvantage: 10

that would tell me loads and be one of the most important factors in my decision to play a game or even just try it out.

I don't really see a need for this because in every single MMORPG the cash shop gives advantages and in every single game the cash shop is more needed for PVP and at later levels than on early levels. There is not much difference between F2P MMORPGs.

Additionally, something like this would require to know the game very well. Like playing the game for years. No reviewer has time for this. If you really want to know, you need to ask a person that is already playing the game for a long time.

This is not true for all games, there's more than enough games that only have cosmetic items in the Cash Shop, however in most cases I fully agree with you.

I also would like to get some info on cash shops in the games as I am someone who will buy stuff from the cash shop if i like the game. I never buy xp potions or any gear with stats since i dont like the idea of paying to skip content. If I feel a game is too grindy for me or boring i won't play it. But I do like to know how much the cash shop will inbalance the game or if it is more focused on cosmetic items which for is the only thing i buy. If a game is like wow or everquest where pvp is not a major thing outside of battlegrounds then i dont care about items being sold with stats as I feel that doesnt effect me. I love the added ability to customise my character while at the same time supporting the company. We do have to remember that if no one buys stuff from the shop then the game will fail. The cash shop is one of the most important aspects of free to play games as without ppl paying for stuff the free players will eventually not have a game to play! But a game should entice players to play for free to give the paying players friends to play with!! U never know that awesome cosmetic armour or mount might just convince a free player to spend a bit of cash to pimp himself out
