RF online Review

This is not an actualy complain don't take me wrong your review was awsome but as you might not know or tried to avoid talking about it since you sayd you played it before CM closed the servers its about this:

The single biggest complaint I have with RF Online is the fact that game provides new players with ridiculously overpowered weapons that would normally be accessible only at level 40 or higher. I’m not sure what was going on when the folks over at CCR decided it was a good idea for newbies to start with an array of weapons that can pretty much ‘1 shot’ anything that moves for the first 15 levels. When I first played RF Online when Codemasters published it, they didn’t have any of this nonsense. Players are supposed to start out with a basic weapon that deals 10-20 damage, but instead they start out with dual plasma swords that deal 1054-1500 and a handful of other weapons. Just to emphasize how ridiculous this is, my character started out with a rocket launcher that fired ‘Giga Nucleaur Warheads’. If that doesn’t sound over powered, I don’t know what does. The warheads can kill any group of enemies in a single hit in a small area. The fact that newbies start off with such powerful weapons totally kills a large portion of the game, as players will never need to purchase new weapons or try and complete quests that provide weapons as rewards. The reason I play MMORPGs is to try and make my character as powerful as possible, but if I start out ridiculously powerful, there’s no reason to play. CCR, the game’s publisher, better get their act together and address this issue, otherwise the game isn’t going to go anywhere.

That is true there are ridiculous overpowered wepons but thats doesn't mean you have to use them, like you sayd the innovative skill system this game has by making it powerfull thru the usage, well thats the problem while using those returnee swords you will one shot everything by level 20 and more but you wont gain skill experience and leveling up too fast in RF is hydrance as you will nerf your character alot. I have alot to say about that review but im guessing that was a first look over the game and my comment isn't that good but i still wanted to point it out, Thanks for reading this and Goodbye.

Those weapons are overpowered though O_o. And yeah, you get less skill points because you won't actually be using any skills, but so what? You'll still be killing monsters 10 levels higher than you with ease.

Ive played the game for over 4 years, ive been archon so many times that i hardly remember, and they aren't overpowered, they are just like some event thingy.

Wait so how is RF Online overall? I'm thinking about joining. Is it fun? Is there a lot of grind? Why are people saying that it's boring?

Cause there is a lot of grind. The fun part for me starts when you take part in the Chip Wars.

Well, yes but don't think it gets really laggy or anything. If you can hold the game on medium I think you can do Chip Wars on low without any lags. Maybe even medium LOL.

On-topic: Those OP weapons are only for the first level, so it doesn't matter in my opinion -_-
