Default Empire Rising: Interface System

The gaming interface of Empire Rising is not that complicated and is quite easy to learn, especially for beginners. For every browser-based game, players need to sign up for an account in the official website in order to fully gain access.
Character creation is necessary for every player since it gives each one a unique identity.

Leading an Empire initially requires identifying the nation the player wants to rule. They will have to choose from the four nations namely Prussia, England, France and Ottoman. Each of them has its own advantages and specialized military troops.

In Prussia, players get an additional ten percent cavalry movement speed and fifteen percent resource cost for every new town and age advancement. Since they specialize in cavalry units, their military unique units are called hussars. England specializes on long ranged units. Its Archers’ attack is ten percent faster, as well as its production speed. Their unique military units are called Long Bowsmen. Similarly, France also specializes on long ranged units and focuses on technology improvement. All its gunpowder unit attack and defense is increased up to ten percent. The Academy Research Speed is increased from one up to five percent, making it easier and quicker to upgrade. Musketeers are France’s unique military units. On the other hand, Ottoman may seem to be ancient in terms of its technology. They specialize on massive beasts. Those who choose this nation will get a ten percent increase in unit defense, and a rate of one up to five percent building construction speed in all ages. War elephants are the Ottoman’s unique military units.

Choosing the gender of the ruler and naming him are part of the registration process. Then, players get to choose their desired location they wish to lead toward the empire age.

The main interface of the game is divided into seven categories: player information, generals’ status, progress tabs, building labels on/off, resource information, quest information and the game menu.

A. Player information – displays general in-game information of the player.

1. Reports – shows the status of the battle and scouting reports
2. Mail – sends and receives messages and/or information to the system and other players.
3. Title – displays the player’s current rank and title
4. Status – displays the colonial status
5. Area – displays the player’s current location
6. Ranking – shows the rankings of the players and alliances
7. Colonies – shows the current colonial relationships
8. Alliance – displays the information of the current alliance
9. Cities - shows the current towns the player leads or builds

B. Generals’ Status

1. Appointment – displays the title of the general (Governor or Commander)
2. General information – shows the details of the generals by clicking the portraits
3. General status – shows the generals’ current state

C. Progress Tabs

In the building and train tabs, players can finish, cancel or accelerate all construction and troop production (though Accelerated Construction item is necessary). They can also this by clicking the blue arrow or pink ‘x’ buttons.

1. Building – displays the remaining construction time of buildings; allows only up to three buildings to be constructed. If the player has Craftsman Covenant, he may use it to increase the number of construction to five.

2. Train – displays the remaining recruitment time of troops
3. Troops – shows the list and number of current troops
4. Friend – displays the player’s list of friends and enemies, and their battle status. Players can add friends or enemies under this tab by clicking the Add button.

D. Building Labels On/Off – gives a player an option to display the building labels or not

E. Resource Information – shows the current resource status of the player’s empire

F. Quest information - displays the different quests where players can participate in order to gain additional resources. They may be viewed by clicking the arrow below Quest.

1. Main quests – shows the current quests; cyclical in nature
2. Daily quests – shows the quests for the day; can be repeated
3. Special quest – shows the most recent quests that are created for the players where big rewards are at stake

G. Game Menu – shows the chat, map, town, cities, military, equip, item, shop, recharge, info, support, forums; used for both empire management and community purposes.

Basically, its interface is pretty much similar to most browser-based games, so Empire Rising is quite easy to learn.
